Meridian Technology Group is currently recruiting a Sr. PeopleSoft Systems Administrator for a 4 month Contract-to-Hire position. In this position you will be responsible for administering the day-to-day PeopleSoft systems including Financials and Human Resources. Additional responsibilities include administration for all PeopleSoft production and development environments, development migrations, creating new and refreshing non-production environments, performance tuning, troubleshooting, on-going maintenance and application of patches and upgrades. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to mentor and advise other PeopleSoft support resources as well as be responsible for leading the application and PeopleTools upgrade projects. Additional Responsibilities Include: • Provide technical support and assist other PeopleSoft support resources with troubleshooting as well as resolve production support issues for the Web, Application, Batch, File and Database servers. Maintain and monitors PeopleSoft components such as WebSphere, Tuxedo, Process Scheduler, Integration Broker and Application Messaging. Support the PeopleSoft server, database and security administration needs on a Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft systems infrastructure. • Provides technical support and assist other PeopleSoft support resources with the installation of new PeopleSoft environments as well as refresh non-production environments. • Provide technical support and assist other PeopleSoft support resources with upgrades to PeopleTools and Application versions in addition to applying application patches and fixes provided by the vendor. • Work with PeopleSoft developers and Functional Specialists to configure the PeopleSoft environments. Assist developers with debugging PeopleSoft errors and, when needed, open and manage cases with the vendor. • Assist the Information Technology department with creating and enacting appropriate policies and procedures. Tasks within the PeopleSoft Policies and Procedures includes creation of HEAT tickets, weekly status report, project status reports and other administrative responsibilities. • Implement, monitor, tune and administer the systems that make up the PeopleSoft environment. • Participate in infrastructure planning, database design, data mapping and conversion activities that will fulfill functional and operational requirements as well as Information Technology standards. • Communicate appropriately and effectively with both verbal and written communication with business clients and colleagues. • Participate in team meetings and perform normal administrative duties such as status reporting. • Provide technical knowledge to the Information Technology department and the PeopleSoft project team. • Provide technical knowledge while mentoring and advising other PeopleSoft project team members. • Perform duties as a Lead resource while performing tasks associated with application and PeopleTools upgrade projects. • Perform other job-related duties as required by Applications Development Manager, Assistant Information Technology Director, Chief Information Officer or designee. Experiential and Educational Requirements Include: A Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline. A graduate degree in Computer Science is highly desirable. • Eight (8) years of experience as a Software/Applications Administrator, Developer or Analyst or related discipline. • Five (5) years of Oracle/PeopleSoft administration. • Five (5) years experience with PeopleTools and PeopleSoft Internet Architecture including Web, Application and Process Scheduler Servers. • Five (5) years experience with PeopleSoft Integration Broker, Upgrade Assistant and/or Change Assistant tools. • Five (5) years of PeopleSoft Technology Administration experience supporting either Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server platforms. • Three (3) years experience with MS SQL Server 2000 or higher. • Demonstrated successful experience with as many of the following as possible is preferred: o Lead resource during PeopleSoft application and PeopleTools upgrade projects. o Oracle/PeopleSoft Development and administration tools (including PeopleTools, Application Designer, PeopleCode, Application Engine, SQR, Component Interface, Change Assistant, PeopleSoft Admin, Application Messaging and Query). o Microsoft Server software products including operating system, IIS, Active Directory, and related products. o Microsoft Windows NT/2000/2003. o Data conversion and end user training. o Experience with creating Application Support documentation. • Special Requirements: May be required to work after normal business hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
