DBA Position Summary Yodlee is seeking a Database Administrator (DBA) to be part of development database team to provide database administration on Solaris/Linux for development and QA team. DBA will also work closely with production DBA to troubleshoot issues in production. The responsibilities include Responsibilities · Database designing using ErWin for Oracle 9i/10g database environment. database deployments · Administer database in development, QA and stage environment · Build and deploy database schema in different environment · Programming using SQL, PL/SQL, Perl and Unix shell programming languages · Perform SQL tuning · Performance monitoring & tuning · Troubleshoot performance and other database related issues in development, QA and production environment. Requirements · Strong expertise in data modeling with Erwin · Good understanding and strong experience on Oracle 9i/10g database administration in multi-instance UNIX environment · Good understanding and exposure to oracle features like log miner, flashback query, undo rollback management, Online reorg etc · Candidate must have good understanding of operational issues in the production environment · Proactively perform query and index optimization. Must have proficiency in SQL tuning using explain plan, tkprof. · Experience with load testing of the database. Measurement of performance using bstat/estat and Statspack and performance tuning. · Build capacity model for deployment in production · Good understanding of XML and JDBC · Proficient at capacity monitoring and management capabilities · Scripting using unix shell scripts and PL/SQL · Strong problem analysis and resolution skills · Oracle Certification desired. Experience with designing data warehouse database is a plus. Qualification Requires a Bachelor's in CS/Electronics/EE or MCA Experience 3+ yrs exp. The DBA position requires 5+ years of extensive experience as a Development DBA in an Oracle and Java based application environment. Candidate will be actively working with the application development team. The applicant must have in-depth experience with ER diagramming and data modeling tools. The candidate must have the following skills sets: Candidate must have excellent written and verbal communications, strong problem analysis and resolution, and customer service skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities is a necessity. Ability to work within a team environment and communicate effectively with other team members is required. Must be a self-starter with the ability to function in high-pressure situations.
