Senior Field Service Network Engineer Servers Based in Dublin West, our client is a long established and leading IT Network Solutions provider with a strong list of clients. This wish to hire a skilled and experienced Senior Field Service Network Engineer with Strong Server skills, to work on mainly Dublin based clients with 1 or 2 days outside Dublin. Salary is to 45,000 with car or car allowance and benefits. Lots of Networking experience and training will come with this opportunity. Experience: Candidates should have at least 2-4 years support experience with excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. A particular emphasis is put on Microsoft server applications etc. This is a customer-facing role so good communication and interpersonal skills are essential. REQUIRED SKILLSET • Practical working knowledge of networking (including WAN topology, mixed LAN/WAN operating system environments, DNS/WINS/DHCP) • Excellent working knowledge of: Server & Desktop OS's e.g. XP, W2K, Server 2003, domains & user management. (to MCSE standard) • Practical working knowledge of intermediate server hardware (including SCSI, RAID and I/O topology • Knowledge of Anti Virus technology, software and best practises. • Practical working knowledge of Microsoft Exchange • Good understanding of Firewalls & VPN technology/solutions. • Disaster Recovery planning. PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES • Excellent communication skills • Must be forward thinking and have good planning skills • Excellent troubleshooting, judgement and decision-making skills. • Recognised as technically strong in current area of expertise. • High level of self-motivation and proven ability for self-study and learning on the job. Education/Certification: Third level Certificate/Diploma in computing/IT plus any of the following certifications: A+, N+, MCP, MCA, MCSE, (or any other major Cert in the relevant fields).
