POSITION TITLE: Informatica Developer Consultant LOCATION: Anywhere REPORTS TO: Consultant Manager TRAVEL: 5 Days a Week POSITION SUMMARY: Datasource Consulting specializes in building and directing Business Intelligence (BI) and data integration departments for major corporations. We believe that delivering the best solutions requires the best resources. We are searching for an Informatica Developer Consultant with full lifecycle implementation experience. DUTIES AND PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: • In addition to responsibilities mentioned in the summary, will provide knowledge transfer and support to the client. • Establish strong two-way communications with project team and the customer to understand needs and to communicate strategies specific to the project at hand. • Using your expertise, will work with the Quality Assurance department in QA reviews for each phase in the project lifecycle to ensure smooth processes and implementation. • Be prepared to contribute at a detailed level in all stages of the project, as needed, to guarantee success and customer satisfaction. • Identify and forge relationships with client partners and manage these relations effectively. Coordinate with various internal and external teams. • Understand and influence the impact of the overall project as it relates to business development activities and reap the rewards for playing a role in closing additional business opportunities. • Manage customer relationship and showcase our strengths within the Siebel realm to build customer satisfaction and loyalty. BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS: • ETL design, development, optimization and support. • Develops error handling routines & processes. • Creates and implements scheduling strategy • Coordinates with Project Managers & participates in project planning. • Works with business partners to review prototypes & develop iterative revisions • Leads coordination of the QA test process & migration of objects through the change control process. • Oversees & performs troubleshooting & provides resolutions to reporting issues. • Technical or Business Degree required. • A detailed understanding of relational database concepts. IMPORTANT SUCCESS FACTORS: • 3 years minimum Informatica experience (Designer, Workflow Manager, Workflow Monitor) • Strong SQL skills • Strong understanding of data integration • Experience working with Oracle (i.e. SQLPlus, TOAD) • Ability to work in a team environment • UNIX shell scripting & PLSQL scripting experience a plus • Experience working with multi-divisional business communities to leverage information across the enterprise to improve business effectiveness. • Extensive background in Oracle database systems along with a strong knowledge of PL/SQL and SQL. • Experience in decision support / business intelligence environments utilizing tools such as Cognos, Oracle Discoverer, ESSBASE, Crystal reports, etc. • Experience designing metadata used in developing business intelligence projects. • Strong team building, interpersonal, analytical, problem identification and resolution skills. • Paying appropriate attention to the customer and promoting customer loyalty with an extensive customer facing background. • Desire to encourage growth and improve skills and competencies for yourself and others. • Displays excellent communication skills – oral and written accompanied by active listening. • Maintains irrefutable business and personal ethics. • Possesses a broad-based intellect and a depth and breadth of personal and professional experiences. • Ability to adjust personally to work effectively within a variety of situations and with various individuals or groups. • Approach to people and work that is consistent with overall values of the business. • A confident professional who can communicate and operate across multiple functions and levels to achieve goals. • Thrives on working in a fast-paced environment; prefers managing multiple priorities within a high-energy, collaborative, fast moving environment. • Willingness to do all of the above, yet still comfortable with enjoying their work.
