Project_Description

i need a dummy proof, quick, easy & one click install application from CD, floppy, or downloadable on the client PC from the website. Intended for parents and computer users who are not computer/tech savvy or even computer literate and would like to monitor the online computer usage by their children using the IE, aol & netscape browsers. Once the application is loaded (the configuration should be very simple), the PC is ready to monitor and log all activities that are conducted online. While the child is online, the application records þ all URLs, þ keystrokes and 'conversations' (not screenshots) from chat rooms, and þ popular messengers like Yahoo Messenger, ICQ, AOL Instant Messenger and MSN Messenger.

The application allows you to monitor both sides of chat conversations made on ICQ, AOL Instant Messenger, MSN Messenger, and Yahoo Messenger. It records all messages sent and all messages received with those instant messengers. The application creates a log file based on time/day stamp (so it could be retrieved/sorted based on that and some other criteria like keywords, etc.). Depending upon the option, the log file(s) can be either viewed online through a secure area or delivered periodically via email. There is no storage of log files on the client PC unless downloaded by the owner (parent). I like interface (GUI) of www.spectorsoft.com, screen organization, look and feel. they has almost all the features i like but only for a standalone version. this is fine for later but the top priority is to develop an ASP delivery model with the features of a standalone.

Few of the requirements are: ------------------------------------ a) The software should be transparent/invisible to the user (child). b) It should work with a broadband (DSL, Cable) & shared connection as well as a dialup. c) It should be able to operate behind popular firewalls & antivirus (home versions of McAfee, ZoneAlarm, Norton, etc.) programs. d) A web based appliction where user of our product will be able to registered on monthly / yearly Subscription basis and able to view the log files online from the web. Website with user registration, affiliate mgmt, subscriber mgmt (various levels), shopping cart & payment module, download manager, query/report manager, communication (alert/ notification via sms, email) manager, periodical financial reports on the subscribers, sales, payment to affiliates, commission rates etc. I like the website features of www.IamBigBrother.com / www.netflix.com and are applicable to us. The layout of the website should compit with www.exploreanywhere.com and www.spytech-web.com. The above are some of the thoughts/features and would welcome your input to enhance the finished product. But i am on a tight budget , so please quote ONLY if you have done this before or can explain to me how you plan to realize the chat and IM logging features described above.
